The birth and development of disciplines, as organized knowledge that guides the interpretation of reality, are inscribed in the heritage of the knowledge of our species. These follow the triple regulating principles of the historical flux of the meanings of feeling and thinking: cognitive potential, mental processing, intangible and tangible products. The flow from the indistinct feeling of the origins evolves through the archaic forms of the magic thought; to the ancient forms of declarative thought up to the modern forms of demonstrative thought. The latter with the separation between disciplines does not recognize the interconnection inherent in reality, loses the scientific revolution character and generates the unsustainable human development on the planet. From the global interconnection experience of the contemporary world, a new paradigm comes to life: transdisciplinarity, whose epistemology recomposes the knowledge and reality's unity and diversity beyond the barriers between disciplines.

L'indiscipline, c'est avant tout une quête de liberté et de justesse. Une éthique du décentrement, qui consiste à sortir des chemins balisés, à assumer son autonomie vis-à-vis des pouvoirs et des institutions en place, à oser des pas de côté par rapport aux cadres de savoirs étriqués, à refuser dogmes, identités et traditions figées ... Elle est pensée agissante, vécue et transmise par des artistes, artisans, écrivains, scientifiques, travailleurs sociaux et culturels, philosophes, soucieux de l'humain et d'un monde déhiérarchisé. Et ce livre, un voyage sans frontières à travers ce concept aux ramifications infinies. Extrait de la conclusion "En faisant, dans ce livre, un long voyage par l'art, la littérature, les réalités complexes, l'histoire, la philosophie, les rêves incandescents, j'ai découvert à quel point l'indiscipline nous aide, même à notre insu, à cheminer dans la vie et croire que l'impossible n'est pas hors de portée. Et que si la discipline est la chanson de l'heure qui tourne dans le gramophone, l'indiscipline est l'écho de musiques intimes qui donnent du sens à nos élans de vie".
